Antoinette Jordan studied at the University of North London and gained a Bachelors of Education Degree. She has taught for 23 years in primary schools in the UK and St Vincent and the Grenadines. It was her passion for travelling that led her to discover St Vincent. She experienced teaching in a lovely private school as well as visiting the stunning Grenadine Islands with their sky-blue water and white sand beaches. During her stay she lived on mainland Kingstown where she noticed fly tipping which inspired her to write the story 'My Beautiful Island'. She is passionate about saving the environment and believes it is important to 'be respectful, reuse, reduce and recycle'. If we all took our time to do this, it would make our world a better place.
